New and Launching Funding Opportunity

NHLBI’s Division of Blood Diseases and Resources is pleased to announce a recently published Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) as well as the following FOAs soon to be published in the spring or summer of 2017.

 

FOA -  Center for the Investigation of Factor VIII (FVIII) Immune Response in Patients with Hemophilia A (U54)

A new Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) entitled “Center for the Investigation of Factor VIII (FVIII) Immune Response in Patients with Hemophilia A (U54)” is currently available. RFA-HL-18-014 provides funding for up to four Centers to define the basic mechanisms involved in the development of anti-FVIII neutralizing antibodies, also known as inhibitors, in patients with hemophilia A. These Centers will utilize cross-disciplinary scientific fields together with novel technologies to make breakthrough advances that could translate into successful strategies to prevent and/or suppress inhibitor formation in this patient population. Applications will also include a Skills Development component to support the development of interdisciplinary research skills and expertise in the blood sciences.
